SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT! |
Naked Clean Introduces NEW Patented Probiotic Cleaning Products!
|
Naked Clean is the first and only maid service in the USA to introduce our Probiotic cleaners to improve the health and cleanliness of our customers' homes. In our opinion, this is a giant leap forward
in terms of how we clean and will likely render other forms of cleaning, including basic "green" cleaning, old school.
Our Probiotic cleaners are a true breakthrough technology. The benefits of probiotics have been understood for quite some time for our digestive system and overall health, but until now, have been next to impossible to put into a proven, scientifically tested, cleaning product.
Our Probiotic Cleaners are 100% Organic, 100% Safe (FDA Certified) and 100% Eco-Friendly.
They have been extensively tested and certified both in the United States and in Europe.
Probiotics Clean In An Entirely New Way
Using Nature as a guide, probiotics clean by creating a stable and sustainable balance of good and bad bacteria.
You can think of probiotic cleaners vs. germs much like two armies facing off. If one army is 1,000 times larger than their opponent, what is the liklihood the smaller army will prevail? Probiotics win the war over the bad germs by creating an "overwhelming" force, and then starving the bad germs to death. Without food, germs can't survive. Once the probitoic army is on duty, the bad guys stand little chance.
This is very different from the way we clean today. The idea we currently have to is to simply wipe the surface clean. But what does that mean? If you're just wiping with a general cleaner like soap, you are not killing germs. If you're using a disinfectant you are killing the germs, but you are also killing the good ones too. (which you do NOT want to do). It is believed that 90% of the bacteria is "good" and that 10% is "bad." So, by disinfecting you are killing 90% of what you need in order to be healthy.
Today many scientist believe that allergies, asthma and illness are on the rise due to this very concept. Nature is a balance. Probiotics clean by RE-introducing balance and sustainability. Fight nature with nature... not with harsh chemicals.
In addition, our Probiotic cleaners are formulated to keep on eating germs up to 72 hours AFTER we clean your home!
This means that your home will continually get cleaner and cleaner as time goes by. (We see the proof of this everyday we clean)
Naked Clean Probiotics Eat Dust Mites, Pet Dander and Mold!
Many of our customers tell us their allergy symptoms are completely gone when at home. We have first-hand experience with many of our customers telling us they cannot believe the improvement of how much better they feel after we clean.
Think about that for a moment - Certain indoor allergies can be cured by changing the way we clean! Amazing.
Biofilm - Germs Secret Hiding Place
If you're like most of us, you've probably have never heard of biofilm. It's a microscopic city full of bad stuff, which are on most surfaces in our homes. The Center for Disease Control (CDC) believes that 65% of certain types of infections in hospitals are a result of diseases (like H1N1, MRSA, Staph, E.coli), which can live and hide in biofilms for months. But here's the BIG news: Biofilms cannot be removed with conventional cleaning products! Not even a strong disinfectant can penetrate a biofilm. Nope. If you want to have a truly clean and healthy home, you must create a natural, stable evironment.
Our Probiotics are proven to "eat" biofilm and their germ inhabitants.
|
|
| |
|
 |
The picture you see here is biofilm magnified many times by an electron microscope. You can actually "see" the microorganisms.
If you eliminate the biofilm germs have no place to live and reproduce, so they die.
Germs outside a biofilm can only live for a few minutes or hours, so removing biofilm is central to a healthy home.
|
If you or someone you know suffers from indoor allergies, you should give us a call
We call our allergy cleaning service Cootie Clean®. We can help kill dust mites, pet dander and mold, which are the primary triggers of indoor allergic reactions. (Note: Technically, it's not the dust mite, but their poop which causes allergic reactions. Our probiotics eat their poop!)
Through our own anecdotal experience of cleaning many 1,000's of homes for years, we have recently seen incredible improvements in our customers' lives (particularly those with allergies).
We personally believe that using toxic cleaning chemicals in our homes are not only the wrong idea entirely, but in fact, may just be hazardous.

Naked Explained - How It Began
|
It all started with my husband taking showers... no, really. After several years of having an occasional on-and-off again sore throat, he noticed that it felt worse after he took a shower. He complained that his throat felt dry and constricted, as if he was wearing a tie around his neck that was too tight.
Well, this persisted for many, many months but it wasn't consistent with taking a shower every time- only occasionally. He thought he might have allergies, but experienced no other symptoms, so we were puzzled to say the least.
One afternoon after taking a shower, he actually went to the hospital to have it checked out because he said he couldn't swallow very well and was getting very worried that he might have something much worse than just a simple allergic reaction. The emergency doctor ran several tests but was unable to identify anything serious, which of course, was actually good news, but we were no closer to understanding what was causing his sore, dry throat.
Then one day he was home when our cleaning lady came over to clean our house as she would regularly do. He walked by the shower and was taken back by the strong odor. He immediately felt that "feeling" in his throat and asked our maid what that smell was and she said it was bleach. He then asked her if she always cleaned the shower using bleach and she said... "Oh yes, I always use bleach because it cleans so well. See how bright and clean it looks," she proudly exclaimed.
Soon after we started looking into bleach and learned that it is a very dangerous cleaning chemical that somehow has made its way into our lives without a thought. We learned that if you mix bleach with other products such as ammonia, you have now created a deadly poison. In fact, the German's used this combination in World I & II as a chemical weapon.
We also learned that when you shower, if recently cleaned with hazardous chemicals, the steam can cause the chemicals to atomize into very small particulates, thus releasing its deadly contents not only into the air we breathe, but also makes it easier to be absorbed through the skin.
So this is how it all started for us. We decided it was time to create a new type of house cleaning service which understands there are MUCH better solutions today. Naked Clean was born from this personal experience, which has made a significant improvement in our lives, and that of our customers.

Here's a sampling of statistics related to harsh chemical exposure: |
- In 2003, 90 percent of all reported poisonings in America, of which 60 percent were children, occurred at home due to household cleaners
It has been suggested that once a child has been exposed to allergy-causing agents/organisms, such as dust-mites, that life-long allergies can develop.
Asthma has increased by over 165 percent since 1980.
-
- Research has also found that women who worked in their home have a greater chance, as much as a 55 percent higher risk, of developing cancer and/or chronic respiratory disease than woman who work outside of the home.
Household cleaners, cosmetics and paints contain so many toxic chemicals that this group now represents the second leading source of air pollution in some major metropolitan areas such as Los Angeles, AFTER car and truck exhaust emissions.
There are an estimated 90,000+ chemical compounds in the USA today of which less than 1% have actually been tested by the government for carcinogenicity. Less than 12% have been tested for ANY kind human or environmental safety. Therefore, we have absolutely no idea how these various combinations of chemicals will affect our health and that of the planet, let alone as to their cancer causing influence.

Not All Green is Green |
You should be aware that not all products in stores that are called “green” are truly green, in our opinion.
Unfortunately, there is no real definition of what makes a product green or safe, therefore any manufacturer can instantly call their product green by slapping a label and logo on a bottle.
Here's a simple guide to determining if a cleaner is safe:
1) Use our Probiotic products as a first choice. In our opinion, this is the ONLY way to clean.
2)
Make sure any regular green cleaning products are made primarily from vegetable, fruit and/or plant-based ingredients, and are readily biodegradable in less than a year. If the label does not indicate these points, we stay away from it.
This is an important distinction between Naked Clean and someone who claims their products are green, or certified by the EPA. (Remember, the EPA is the same agency who allows manufacturers to sell products like bleach, oven cleaners, for use in our homes, so why trust their ability to correctly identify a safe cleaning product?

What Is A Cootie Clean? |
Cootie Clean is our name for taking a multi-pronged approach to removing allergens from your home. By using a combination of our Probiotic cleaning products (as discussed at the top of the page) and with the use of our hot steamer to sanitize floors, counter tops and showers.
Originally developed in Europe, hot vapor steam can remove previous chemical build-up, kill germs and sanitize all at the same time. Our commercial steamer is capable of producing steam up to 220 degrees.
(Not to be confused with carpet steam cleaning. We are only killing microorganisms, not cleaning the carpet) |

|
Steam cleaning in combination with our probiotic cleaners will make your home feel and smell wonderfully fresh.
We approach allergen removal without using harsh chemicals of any kind. therefore you get a true “Naked Clean.”

Kelly Preston and John Travolta Talk About Toxic Chemicals In Their Home
Portions of this article extracted from www.USAToday.com
(Note: Since this article originally appeared in USAToday, John and Kelly have tragically lost their son to Kawasaki's disease)
Kelly Preston and her co-star in life — John Travolta— have made some life-changing decisions about what types of cleaning chemicals they’ll allow in their home.

|
|
|
|
John Travolta and Kelly Preston want homes to be safe from dangerous toxins. |
|
USA Today
Preston and Travolta know first-hand about the possibilities of toxic chemicals in the home environment.
"Eight years ago our son got very, very sick with high fever and swollen glands and peeling fingers and rash all over his body," says Preston, who has taken on the role as national spokesperson for Children's Health Environmental Coalition (CHEC). "We thought it was just the flu, and after several rounds of antibiotics and trips to the doctor, she diagnosed him with Kawasaki syndrome."
A relatively rare disease, Kawasaki syndrome is a serious rash illness generally contracted by children.
"At the time, one of the questions on the questionnaire was, 'Have you cleaned your carpet with chemicals recently,'" adds Preston. "We had and so had every other parent in the ward. It was then that we vowed to learn everything we could about our child's environment."
"Because it's not just carpets and cleaning chemicals, it's in the paints you choose, fabrics you choose, particle boards and the materials you use to renovate," says Travolta. "It's in the grass and the chemicals you use on your lawn. And pesticides are big, one of the biggest problems."
"What people don't know is that when they use all these chemicals — the scents, the cleaning products — the air inside your home can be more dangerous than breathing on a freeway," says Preston. "We're taught if it smells fresh it is a healthy environment, and that's not always true. It can be very toxic and affect you on a cellular level. And toxic air especially affects small children with smaller immune systems."
To help make finding safer alternatives easier, CHEC has created a web site to help people learn about all the hidden dangers that might be in the home.
"We've launched a Healthy House on the Internet thanks to the Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. government," says Chuda. "We've been able to put together a wonderful one-stop virtual cyber-shop for parents to peruse at their leisure. You can look at every room in the house and find out what are the typical dangers."
"This is a great time to cut down on the chemicals and know what sort of products you're using," says Preston. "Especially during the holidays, when your house is shut up tight and you want to keep the heat in, you don't want to fill your environment with toxic scents that can affect you and your children adversely, because this is a time for joy and celebrating life."
